Morning, everyone! We have been crazy busy over at the Nockengust house. Late spring is always a whirlwind of events for us, and I am working on getting better at allowing myself time for the hobbies I enjoy, even when we are busy (hint: time management post coming soon), but it truly is hard when we barely get a minute to ourselves. Hence the lack of posts.
Today, however, I would like to share with you something that has recently become very dear to my heart. As many people know, I am Catholic. I went to Catholic school my entire life (seriously, my entire life – through college) and my faith has grown exponentially these last few years. I have been praying often about finding my way and using the gifts God has given to me for His purpose. I am also working on being less of a hypocrite because trust me, I disappoint myself often. I have just a little problem with anger management. I like to call it passion, but I know Jesus would beg to differ. But hey, I’m working on it.
With my recent, overwhelming rebirth (I’m not sure that’s the exact word to use, but I feel it makes sense) of faith and understanding, I discovered Brother Perry Stone. To be honest, I’m not certain if many Catholics look to other evangelists for inspiration, but I have and do, and let me tell you – Perry Stone knows what he is talking about. He has been extraordinarily blessed with the gift of prophecy and eloquence to share the message of the Lord. Perry Stone’s message(s) is exactly what I believe I was searching for but didn’t realize.
I believe as a Christian, it is my duty to spread God’s word and get people on board with Jesus. Many don’t want to hear it, but I wholeheartedly believe we are standing in the last days and Jesus’ second coming may very well be in our lifetime. Of course, no one knows the day or the hour of the Lord’s return (Matthew 24:36), but I am certainly doing my best to prepare for that glorious day (I still have a lot of work to do).
Brother Perry shares my stance and has confirmed what I already believe. Please, Google him, subscribe to his YouTube page and hear his message. There is a link to his website at the end of this post.
I am not worthy of being looked at as a source of Christian inspiration – I am deeply flawed and have sinned my fair share, but it is never too late to open your heart and rebuke Satan, sin, and turn away from earthly indulgences. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the things of this earth, but we can’t let it consume us and forget that our ultimate home is not here. And if you ask me, I much more look forward to the glory of God in Heaven and everything he has planned for us there.
Get out there, spread the word!
