Celebrating Baby Nock at Steele Mansion

Today, my parents hosted a beautiful shower for Baby Girl at Steele Mansion.

“The Steele Mansion was built in 1867 for George Steele, once described in a daily newspaper as the “grandest home in Painesville.” The French Second Empire home featured a third floor ballroom, 8 Italian marble fireplaces, windows imported from France, three bathrooms with running water and ornate walnut doors, stairs and trim.

The Steele family lived in the front portion of the home. A two story rear wing housed the servants.”

After several years of many different owners, a fire, and sitting vacant for 10 years, the Steele Mansion has been restored to its initial beauty and is now a beautiful venue for events.

I am sharing some photos from the afternoon below. If you live in the area, it’s a definite must-see.
